The CLASS customer service phone team receives a steady stream of requests for help and guidance. For example, some of the most common questions that families ask are...

We are only able to print the Student ID labels at the time we set up the enrollment for a grade level, so we cannot send replacement labels. It is not critical that you use the Student ID labels, as long as you write the student ID and grade level on each page you submit. Some families have printed their own labels, and that is fine with us. As long as we can identify the student and grade level, we can accurately post the score for that assignment. Many items you submit to us already have the student ID and grade level information printed on them. For example, R&I forms and scannable tests have the student ID printed in the upper right hand corner. |

CLASS is committed to helping students succeed. If a course is too difficult, and we have a suitable alternate, you can request a change before your student fails. If the student does fail a course, a re-take is possible as long as it can be completed before the end date for that grade level. If you need more time, you may purchase up to three extension quarters in addition to the four regular quarters covered by your tuition. We can even offer a repeat of grade level for any incomplete courses.
In grades K–7 we do not actively monitor course failures since they do not prevent matriculation into the next grade level and there is no diploma involved. For 8th grade and above, we try to alert you to the course failure, as we become aware of it, and we send you a form you can use to request a course retake. You may retake the course as long as you can complete it in the available quarters for the grade level. This may involve purchasing extension quarters in addition to the retake fee. If a course retake cannot be completed within the seven allowable quarters for a grade level, it may be necessary to pay for another repeat of grade level. If the student does not retake a failed course, the failure remains on the student's transcript. Course failures in 8th grade will disqualify the student for the 8th grade diploma. Course failures in grades 9–12 will prevent graduation from high school. |
