Customer Service Mailbag

The CLASS customer service phone team receives a steady stream of requests for help and guidance. For example, some of the most common questions that families ask are...

Q:
My daughter wants to start her book reports over the summer, what are some of the books CLASS would recommend?

A: A copy of the Book Reports Suggested Reading List is available in PDF format on our Website for the various grade levels.
  Grades 4-6 Reading List
Grades 7-8 Reading List
Grades 9-12 Reading List

Q:
My son has the opportunity to take Dr. Wile's Chemistry with a local home school co-op starting in September, will CLASS allow us to use the Apologia Chemistry?

A: Yes, CLASS has offered the Apologia science courses for 8th through 12th grades as alternatives for both the standard science courses and the electives. You would need to request the Apologia course on your enrollment form or through a Curriculum Adjustment Request. The student would still need to submit the required coursework to CLASS.

Q:
How do I know when my student's grade level ends?

A: Any current report card for that grade level has the student's quarters and the quarter end dates in the upper right-hand corner. Also, The CLASS Handbook lists on page 12 the student's end date based on the shipping date. You may also contact CLASS Customer Service with your student's ID number to obtain the end date.

Q:
Can I obtain a copy of a transcript for my CLASS student?

A: Yes, there is a Transcript Request Form at the back of The CLASS Handbook and also available on line. You may fax or mail your signed request. If the transcript is to be sent directly to a college or university then you may contact by telephone the CLASS Customer Service Department with the student's ID # and the address of the college where the transcript is to be mailed.

Q:
It has been a while since my student used your Algebra Tutorial and the passwords we have don't seem to work. What do we do now?

A: To obtain the User ID and Password for the tutorial you would need to re-register at the Algebra Tutorial page.
